Hi Ladies!I’m writing to let you know whyyy you haven’t heard from me in a while on this page, besides life and quarantine, of course. After starting a Master’s program in August of 2020 and ordination that December, I transitioned into leading our church’s women’s ministry in September 2021. It’s so important that we occupy the space we’

It’s so important that we occupy the space we’re given as if God meant for us to be there. I began serving in women’s ministry around 2006 at New Life in Chicago. When I moved to Tampa in 2015, I sought something like what I experienced and I didn’t find it right away. Soon the concept for SPA was born and we put on events for five years.

As we transition away from the pandemic, I’m seeking God for what SPA looks like in the coming years. In the meantime, God is allowing me to lead Radiant Women, our women’s ministry at New Life’s Tampa Bay campus. It’s an honor to be trusted by God and my pastors to lead women! We are extraordinary and require special care and nurturing to harness our strength and exercise our gifts well.

Why all the background? Because to some, this looks like it came out of nowhere. But there’s been a foundation laid and progress made and here I stand, looking back at SPA, knowing I gave my All with what I had. And now, our team offers the same Spirit-led effort to serve women in Tampa Bay. That said, we invite you to join us for UNVEILED on March 19th. We believe this conference will be impactful and instrumental in how you live out the rest of 2022! We pray you’ll join us! (More info via the link in bio.) 💛

I’m so honored by what God allows me to do in sp

I’m so honored by what God allows me to do in spite of ME! When we get to the place that we just keep going and don’t let the distractions of behaviors, fears, calamities, trials, or even successes (ours or someone else’s) hinder progress, we hit that sweet spot.

The sweet spot isn’t success, though. It’s the spot where there’s no turning back. Even when moving forward isn’t pretty, going back isn’t an option. That’s the sweet spot. Where we’ve said yes to God and when we want out, find that the path backward is lined with ice. One step in that direction and we can be back at square one, when all we wanted was to relieve some pressure.

This picture reflects my entrance into yet another sweet spot. And my feelings flip out sometimes and point me toward the door. But my call doesn’t care about my feelings. And the people God has in my path don’t care about my distractions. They’re looking for me to reflect His image for them so they know they can do it too. For them, we stay on the path.

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you shall perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6

Thank you for being a friend… You LITERALLY travel down the road and back again! Your heart is true! I’m gonna stop now before I dissolve into a bucket of tears, lol, but I wanted to take a moment and just say I love you! God has blessed me with great sister friends who support me, have the hard conversations with me, and who also remind me to love myself when life gets busy or hard. And you, ma’am, have been doing it the longest! 😂😂

Grad school occupies my time in ways that haven’t allowed me to reciprocate the way I’d like, so while I have a moment, I’m starting with you to say THANK YOU! Muah!! 😘🥰

I remember you walked by me once during 4 am prayer. You grabbed my hand and said “Intercessor!” You spoke a few more words about prayer over me and I thought, ‘He must’ve grabbed me by mistake.’ 😂🤦🏽‍♀️ Today, I can see those words beginning to manifest.
